I'll try some others. But I think your suggestion about IE is a great one. I'm pretty sure Spectromancer phones home to Greenhouse to validate its registration, and it seems likely that it could be trying to tap into IE to so that.

Thanks a ton for both suggestions, I'll definitely give them a try when I get a chance.kristoferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00201062560493545465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6402035.post-64840102835814223572009-01-15T10:21:00.000-08:002009-01-15T10:21:00.000-08:00Did you try installing Spectromancer under various...Did you try installing Spectromancer under various "flavors" of bottles in CrossOver (95, 98, XP, etc...)? That can often make a difference. Alternately, I dunno if this game has any browser widgets built into it (most games don't), but if it does, you might want to slap IE into a bottle *first* and then try installing the game. That's about as deep as my bag of tips'n'tricks goes, though. I am, after all, merely the Marketing Guy here at CodeWeavers. Regardless, thanks for the mention, and good luck.

Cheers,

-jon parshall-
COO
www.codeweavers.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
